바트 D. 어만
바트 D. 어만 (Bart D. Ehrman, 1955년-)은 미국의 성서학자이다.
경력 편집
초등학교 5학년때부터 캔자스주 로렌스의 성공회에서 신앙생활하기 시작했으며, 고등학생때는 성공회 사제의 감사성찬례 집전을 돕는 복사로 봉사하기도 했다. 고등학교 2학년때 '거듭남'(Born Again)을 강조하는 복음주의 선교단체의 영향으로 성서에 관심을 갖게 되어, 18살때인 1973년 기독교 근본주의성격의 무디 성서대학에 입학, 3년간 성서학을 전공했다. 당시 바트 어만은 신약성경 사본에 관심을 갖게 되었다. 성서대학 졸업후 복음주의 학교인 휘튼 대학교(Wheaton College)에 진학한 그는 2년간 영문학과 헬라어를 배우면서 신약성서 사본과 신약성서 본문비평에 관심을 갖게 되었다. 대학교 졸업후 프린스턴 신학교에 진학한 바트 어만은 히브리어, 헬라어 해석, 신약성경 주석(해석)공부를 했으며, 사본학의 거장 브루스 매츠거(Bruce Metzger) 박사에게 지도를 받았다. 현재 노스캐롤라이나대학교 종교학부 학장으로 일하고 있다.
