‘’'이동호(영어: Dong ho Lee, 1964년 7월 7일 ~)는 대한한국의 안과 의사이다. 이동호 박사는 시력교정술인 라섹 기술의 문제점인 각막혼탁을 최소화 하기 위해 마이토마이신(mitomycin-c)을 주입하는 약물치료를 병해하는 라섹 수술법인 M-Lasek을 명명하고 발전시킨 공로로 2004년 미국 백내장굴절수술학회 최우수 논문상 및 2013년 미국안과학회 공로상을 시상 하였다. 이와 관련하여 세계 3대 인명사전에 모두 등재되었으며, 미국백내장굴절학회(ASCRS) 심사위원으로 활동하고 있다.
M 라섹의 개발 편집
2000년 공동개원한 대한민국 서울에 위치한 “연세아이센터”에서 라섹수술시 각막혼탁이 발생되는 환자의 케이스에 대한 라섹치료 기술 개발을 위해 연구에 착수하여 Talemo 및 Majmudar 박사 등에 의해서 연구되어 온 마이토마이신에 대한 논문에 착안하여, 마이토마이신이 근시회귀율을 최소화 하며, 안압의 영향을 최소화 할 수 있는 잔여각막을 남기는 수술방법을 개발하여 이를 M 라섹으로 명명 하였다.
ASCRS(미국백내장굴절학회) 최우수논문상 수상 편집
2004년 “Mitomycin-C을 접촉한 각막의 confocal 현미경 소견” 논문으로 굴절수술 분야 최우수 논문상을 수상하였다.
세게 3대 인명사전 등재 편집
M 라섹수술의 명명 및 라섹수술의 안전성 확보 및 발전시킨 공로로 세계 3대 인명사전인 '마르퀴즈 후즈 후'의 <후즈 후 인더월드(Who's Who in the World),2008-2009>, '미국인명연구소(ABI)'의 <올해의 인물(International Man of the Year,2005/2006)>, '국제인명센터(IBC)'의 <국제인명사전(Dictionary of International Biography)2007>에 모두 등재 되었다.
기술 연구 개발 편집
2010년 부터 초고도근시에도 적용할 수 있는 프리미엄M라섹 수술을 개발하여 시력교정 기술관련 연구를 진행 중이다.
