야모란과

야모란과(野牡丹科, 학명: Melastomataceae 멜라스토마타케아이^[*])는 도금양목의 과이다. 대개 열대 지방(식물 속의 2/3는 신대륙의 열대 지역에 자생한다)에서 발견되며, 약 200여 속에 4500종을 포함한다. 야모란과 식물은 일년생 또는 다년생 초본 식물, 관목 또는 작은 나무이다.
