갈색꼬리본시라
갈색꼬리본시라 또는 갈색꼬리몽구스(Salanoia concolor)는 식육목 마다가스카르식육과에 속하는 마다가스카르 포유류의 일종이다. 말라가시갈색꼬리몽구스 또는 살라노(salano)라는 이름으로도 불린다. 자연 서식지는 아열대 또는 열대 건조림이다. 서식지 감소로 멸종 위협을 받고 있다. 갈색꼬리몽구스는 1837년 프랑스 동물학자 이시도르 조프루아 생틸레르(Isidore Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire)가 Galidia unicolor와 Galidia olivacea라는 이름으로 처음 기술했다. 그리고 두 종을 줄무늬꼬리몽구스(Galidia elegans)와 함께 "갈리디아속"(Galidia)으로 분류했고,[2] 현재 이 속은 줄무늬꼬리몽구스만이 유일종으로 남았다.[3] 그러나 종소명 "유니콜로르"(unicolor)는 "콘콜로르"(concolor)의 오식(誤植)의 일종이며, 나중에 조프루아 생틸레르에 의해 오자가 수정되었다.[4]
