새미류(Branchiura)는 소악강에 속하는 새미아강 갑각류의 총칭이다. 큰 방패 모양의 껍데기를 한 개 가지며, 제2작은턱이 빨판으로 변형되어 있다. 물고기류에 일시적으로 기생하여 피를 빨아 먹는다. 물고기빈대과(Argulidae)의 물이와 선사시대 키클로이드(cycloids) 등을 포함하고 있다.^[1]
