작약속
작약속(芍藥屬, peony 또는 paeony, 학명: Paeonia 파이오니아[*])은 범의귀목의 단형 과인 작약과(芍藥科, 학명: Paeoniaceae 파이오니아케아이[*])의 유일한 속이다.[1][2] 이 속에 속한 종들은 아시아와 남부 유럽 그리고 서부 북아메리카에서 자생한다. 종들 사이의 경계는 명확하지 않지만, 25여 종[3] 내지 40여 종[4]으로 추산하고 있다.
