충격음

충격음은 부딪힘에 의해 소리가 생성되는 자음이다. 충격음 자음은 어떤 언어로도 음운론이 발견되지 않았지만, 굳이 언어적 요소가 아니더라도 사람이 낼 수 있는 발음을 쓰기 위한 IPA 확장에서는 양순 충격음 (입술을 다물어서 부딪힘), 양치 충격음 [ʭ] (이빨을 딱딱 부딪히기), 치경 충격음 ¡ (혀끝을 아래로 내리침)으로 세가지 종류의 충격음을 정의하고 있다.
