《Before the Flood》는 미국의 싱어송라이터 밥 딜런과 더 밴드의 라이브 음반으로 1974년 6월 20일 미국의 어사일럼 레코드와 영국의 아일랜드 레코드에서 발매되었다. 몇 년 전만 해도 라이브 음반은 발매되었지만, 딜런이 발매한 첫 라이브 음반이었다. 이 음반은 딜런의 열다섯 번째 음반이자 더 밴드의 일곱 번째 음반이며, 1974년 미국 합동 투어를 문서화한다. 빌보드 200에서 3위로 정점을 찍고[11], 영국 음반 차트 8위에 올랐고[12], 미국 음반 산업 협회로부터 플래티넘 인증을 받았다.[13]

딜런과 그의 새 음반사인 어사일럼은 투어가 시작되기 전에 프로 녹화를 계획했는데, 1월 30일과 31일 매디슨 스퀘어 가든에서 뉴욕에서 3회, 시애틀에서 2월 9일 시애틀 센터 콜로세움에서 2회, 캘리포니아주 오클랜드에서 2회, 2월 11일 알라메다 카운티 콜로세움에서 2회, 그리고 2월 13일과 14일에 로스앤젤레스에서 3회 등 총 10회였다.[14] 이 음반을 편집하기 위해, 뉴욕 출신의 〈Knockin' on Heaven's Door〉만이 있는 캘리포니아주 잉글우드에서 열린 로스앤젤레스 포럼의 마지막 3개의 쇼에서 녹음한 것이다.[15]
