DSM-5
DSM-5는 정신질환 진단및통계 메뉴얼(약칭 DSM)의 2013년에 나온 다섯번째 개정판으로 미국정신의학협회(APA)에서 발행한 분류 및 진단 절차이다. 미국에서 DSM은 정신병 진단을 위한 주요 권한을 제공한다. 치료 권고는 권한있는 의료 제공자에 의한 지불에 적정성은 물론 DSM 분류에 의해 결정되기 때문에 새로운 버전의 출현은 상당한 실질적인 중요성을 갖는다. 이전 버전에서의 범주적일 수 있는 접근과 함께 보다 유연한 해석을 위해 차원적 접근을 추가적으로 시도한 것으로 알려져있다.

섹션II의 22개 상위범주 편집
DSM-5의 섹션II(section II)에서 신경발달장애(Neurodevelopmental Disorders), 조현병 스펙트럼및 기타정신병적장애(Schizophrenia Spectrum and Other Psychotic Disorders), 양극성장애(Bipolar and Related Disorders), 우울장애(Depressive Disorders), 불안장애(Anxiety Disorder), 강박장애및 관련 장애(Obsessive－Compulsive and Related Disorders), 외상후 스트레스장애및 관련 장애(Trauma－and Stressor－Related Disorders) , 해리장애(Dissociative Disorders), 신체증상장애(Somatic Symptom and Related Disorders), 섭식장애(Feeding and Eating Disorders), 배설장애(Elimination Disorders), 수면장애(Sleep-Wake Disorders), 성 기능 장애(Sexual Dysfunctions), 성별 불쾌감(Gender Dysphoria), 충동조절장애(Disruptive, Impulse-Control, and Conduct Disorders), 약물중독장애(Substance－Related and Addictive Disorders), 신경인지장애(Neurocognitive Disorders), 성격장애(Personality Disorders), 성도착(Paraphilic Disorders),기타미분류정신장애(Other Mental Disorders),약물치료의 기타부작용(Medication-Induced Movement Disorders and Other Adverse Effects of Medication),임상적관심대상의 기타장애(Other Conditions That May Be a Focus of Clinical Attention) 등 22개전후의 범주가 장애(Disorder)에 따른 진단절차에서 분류 기준으로 사용된다.[5] 한편 섹션III(section III)에는 평가측정도구(Assessment Measures)와 문화적 재고사항(Cultural Formulation) 그리고 성격장애 진단을 위한 권고된 대체모델(Alternative DSM-5 Model for Personality Disorders),추가연구를 위한고려사항들(Conditions for Further Study)의 4개항목이 기술되어있다. 섹션I(section I)은 DSM의5번째 개정을 소개하는 섹션으로 DSM-5은 총3개의 섹션으로 구성되어있다.[6]

ICD-10 챕터 V는 세계보건기구의 국제질병분류 ICD-10중 '정신 및 행동 장애'에 대한 분류 챕터이다. 미국 '정신질환통계메뉴얼' DSM-5에 대응될수있으며 많은 부분 호환된다.
