또한 미국의 50개 주(州)마다 별개의 자치권을 가지는 50개의 국가들이 구성된 것이나 다음없는 연방국가이다.
그리고 이 미국의 1개 주(州)들은 웬만한 1개 국가의 인구 및 면적과 맞는다.
이 미국에서 뉴욕은 가장 인구가 많으면서 가장 인종의 종류가 많다.
또한 미국에서 가장 역사가 길고 인구가 많은 대도시이다.
그러므로 미국은 세계의 축소판인데 이러한 뉴욕은 더욱 세계의 축소판이다.
