제3의 위치는 초 [[혼합주의]]적이며, 이들의 정치적 행위는 [[우익]]적일 수도 있고 [[좌익]]적일 수도 있는 것이 특징이다. 우익적인 제3의 위치는 주로 후기 [[파시즘]]이나 [[나치즘]]과 같은 형상으로 나타나며, [[좌익]]적인 제3의 위치는 강력한 국가통제주의를 전제로 한 [[국가사회주의]] 정치, 초기 [[파시즘]]으로 나타난다. 전자는 [[아돌프 히틀러]], [[베니토 무솔리니]], [[풀헨시오 바티스타]], [[라파엘 트루히요]] 등이 있으며, 후자는 [[후안 페론]]이 있다.
