프레젠테이션 소프트웨어

프레젠테이션 소프트웨어(Presentation software) 또는 시청각설명 소프트웨어(視聽覺說明 Software)는 슬라이드 쇼 형식으로 정보를 보여 주기 위한 소프트웨어이다. 문자, 그림에 대한 정보를 편집하고 배치하는 기능, 슬라이드 쇼를 포함한 내용을 화면에 꽉 차게 보여 주는 기능이 포함되어 있다.

역사

트롤먼, 제니그래픽스, 오토그래픽스, Dicomed에 의해 제조된 프레젠테이션 그래픽 소프트웨어가 워크스테이션 컴퓨터에서 구동되었다.

1980년대 중순에 컴퓨터계가 발전하면서 프레젠테이션을 만드는 방식이 변화하였다. 값이 저렴한 전문 응용 프로그램들이 이제 PC에 도입되어 누구나 전문가다운 프레젠테이션 그래픽스를 만들 수 있게 되었다.

위지위그 프레젠테이션 제작을 위한 최초의 상용 컴퓨터 소프트웨어는 1979년 휴렛 패커드에서 개발되었으며 그 이름은 브루노(Bruno)였다.
