GMA Network (Global Media Arts or just GMA) is a free-to-air television and radio network based in the Philippines. It is the flagship property of GMA Network, Inc., a publicly traded company. On October 29, 1961, it was first broadcast on television. In allusion to the outline of the company's logo, GMA Network (previously known as Republic Broadcasting System, GMA Radio-Television Arts, and GMA Rainbow Satellite Network) is frequently referred to as the Kapuso Network. Its headquarters are at Quezon City's GMA Network Center, and its transmitter, Tower of Power, is in Quezon City's Tandang Sora Avenue, Barangay Culiat. It also has regional stations and offices in over 9 major cities across the country.
