비틀즈의 라이브 음반

《Live at the BBC》은 비틀즈가 1963년부터 1965년부터 BBC 라디오 프로그램에서 진행된 다양한 라디오 쇼에서 공연한 음원을 엮은 컴필레이션 음반이다. 모노 음반은 다양한 형식으로 구매 가능하지만 대부분이 두 개의 CD로 구성된 형식이다. 여기에는 56개의 노래와 13개의 대화 트랙이 담겨 있다. 이중 30곡은 이전에 한 번도 출시된 적 없는 것이다. 비틀즈가 공식적으로 미발표 공연 음원을 출시한 것은 1977년 《The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl》 이후로, 이전의 미공개 곡을 담은 것은 1970년의 정규 음반 《Let It Be》 이후로 처음이다.

곡들이 방송에 나가기 위함이었다고 해도, 리테이크와 오버더빙을 거쳐 궁극적인 "스튜디오 라이브" 공연에 초점을 맞추었다. 대다수 곡은 1950년대와 1960년대의 노래의 커버로 비틀마니아 전의 스테이지 세트를 반영하고 있다. 이 앨범이 발표 전에 BBC 공연의 포괄적 컬렉션이 해적판에 담겨져 나돌고 있었다.

2013년 11월 11일에는 BBC 라디오 방송의 두 번째 볼륨, 《On Air – Live at the BBC Volume 2》와 함께 리마스터 된 된 리페키징이 출시되었다.[1] 이 두 볼륨 역시 더블 세트의 형식이다.
