디디모스
디디모스 또는 장님 디디모스(그리스어: Δίδυμος ο Τυφλός, 313-398)는[1] 알렉산드리아 교회에서 존경받는 신학자였다. 디디모스는 4살에 완전히 실명을 하였고, 이런 연유로 카이쿠스(Caecus 장님)라는 별칭을 얻었지만, 오리게네스의 충실한 제자이며 아리우스와 마케도니아 신학을 반대하였다. 아타나시우스는 그를 알렉산드리아 교리학교 교장으로 지명하였다.[2] 눈이 멀기 전에는 글을 읽을 수 있었다. 맹인이 된 후에도 해박한 지식으로 많은 사람에게 존경을 받았다고 한다. 제2차 콘스탄티노폴리스 공의회에서 디디모스는 그의 작품이 오리게네스의 종속교리를 가르치고 있다는 이유로 유죄판결을 받자 그의 작품들이 거의 소멸되었다.:101 팔라디우스(Palladius), 루피누스(Rufinus), 히에로니무스가 그의 제자들이다.[3]
