라이프니츠 협회

라이프니츠 협회(독일어: Leibniz-Gemeinschaft)는 다양한 학문을 연구하는 독일 비대학 연구 기관 연합이다. 2011년, 87개의 비대학 연구기관 및 다른 과학 기관들이 라이프니츠 협회에 속해 있다. 연구 범위는 자연 과학, 공학, 생태학, 경제학, 사회 과학, 우주 과학, 인문학에 걸쳐져 있다. 대학교, 산업, 세계 각국과 협력을 하고 있으며 학제간 연구 및 기초, 응용과학을 연결하는 연구를 한다. 라이프니츠 협회의 평가는 모든 산업의 기준이 된다. 라이프니츠 협회는 16,800명의 사람이 근무하고 있으며 예산은 14억 유로이다. 라이프니츠 협회는 연방 정부와 각 주로부터 지원을 받는다.

역사

라이프니츠 협회는 독일의 철학자, 수학자, 과학자 그리고 발명가인 고트프리트 빌헬름 라이프니츠 (1646-1716)에서 따왔다.

라이프니츠 협회의 파트너십은 Blaue Liste(청색 목록)과 예전 (동독)의 연구 협회의 파트너십에서 나온다.

라이프니츠 협회의 사무실은 베를린에 있다; 본과 브뤼셀에 지부가 있다. 2010년부터 사회학자 Karl Ulrich Mayer 박사가 협회장이며 Christiane Neumann이 사무총장이다.
