메러디스 클라인

메러디스 클라인(Meredith George Kline, 1922년 12월 15일 - 2007년 4월 14일)은 미국의 신학자이며 구약학자이다. 그는 또한 앗시리아학과 이집트학 분야의 학위자였다. 미국 필라델피아에 있는 웨스트민스터 신학교에서 번 S. 포리트레스와 같은 학자에게 큰 영향을 주었다. 반드루넨과 같은 학자들에게 큰 영향을 주었다.

특징

타락전 은혜

클라인 교수는 은혜에 대하여 아담의 타락 이전에는 없었다고 주장한다. 그것은 은혜라는 복음에서 타락 전에 존재하면 속죄교리를 훼손한다는 것이다. 이에 대해 웨스트민스터 신앙고백에서는 7장에서 은혜가 타락전에 이미 있음을 말하고 있다.^[1]
