Earning respect from others

What am I gonna do? Those contributing to Korean Wikinews (and some others) seem to be demanding me to write Korean. They feel as if I'm insulting them or something. However, I never intended to make them feel insulted. I just wanted others to consider what's good quality and what's bad. How do I win people's hearts or something like that? Gist of the issue seems to be that discussing Korean (language) sources from Republic of Korea usually requires some more than average knowledge of journalism environment of Korean as a language and the Republic of Korea (where most of the Korean speaker @ Wikimedia resides in). which they think you are lacking.

Their point is that using Machine Translation is not a due diligence to question Korean contents. Since it is widely accepted perception (among Korean speaker) that Machine Translations [MT] are unreliable and does a pretty LOT of mistakes, I guess your option is either dropping the stick, or make some effort to learn some Korean to understand the content without MT and assimilate. Like, nobody would welcome external people not adding any value for the community but saying something bad about the work they do.
