Dr. And K. Yoon(Andy Kyung-yong, Yoon, August 24, 1964) is a scientist, venture businessman and professor at San Martin University, Peru and Yonsei University, Korea. He is an expert in variuos engineering fields such as computer, electrical and electronics, ICT, robot, and inertial navigation.
Early life
편집Childhood
He graduated from elementary school, junior high school and high school in his hometown Suncheon. He was introverted in his youth and focused on one thing, so he was very good at the abacus that was popular at the time, and he took second place in the national abacus competition. Also Taekwondo, which was started in childhood, taekwondo had the best ability in town as Taekwondo became a nickname of high school student.
Education
He graduated from Yonsei University, a prestigious university, Suncheon High School, which was the best prestigious school in Korea at that time. He majored in computer science at university, liked system programming, and became the master of computer programming like his character. Not satisfied with software programming master, he studied electronics and electrical engineering at his graduate school and received a Ph. D. in superconductivity and nuclear fusion.
Career
편집By the 20th century
After graduation of university, he performed military service as a computer soldier. In 1989, he entered Sammi Computer Service Co., Ltd. of Sammi Group after completion of his military service, and since then, he worked as a network communication and emulation embedded and firmware system developer. He briefly worked at IBM Korea after retiring from Sammi Computer Service. He feels frustrated with the framed organization, finds a more liberal development environment, the reason why he turns to Time & Space Tech. which is unusually that did a complex project in a wide variety of areas, not a computer expertized company. The founder was his high school senior alumni. He founded the research institute at the company, and became a Chief Scientist at a very early age. The position of the Chief Scientist and the free development environment will lead to the achievement of many areas of development that he has been seeking. His major, only computer science, was not enough to cover every given projects. He began studying mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, and physics. And this is the time when research and development of CDMA mobile communication and terminals’ firmware started. He studied very deeply in various fields and conducted his own work, which was not simply learned knowledge, but experience and achievement. He also has deep experience and knowledge of video and image processing, which was one of his specialties. In 1999, he collaborated with Professor Jun-ho Oh of KAIST, a top engineer of humanoid robots, to develop 6-axis articulated robots, the world's first gardener robot controlled by the Internet. He also worked ten years in various projects in the company, where he gained expertise in interior decoration. He made a great contribution to the construction of the Daejeon EXPO 93, which was the first in Korea, and has got a lot of experience in various fields through the huge project. He has been working on his final project, the Super high-speed Information and Communications Pavilion Project, and has accumulated the skills and experience of crossing various genres such as 3D VR games, VR theater, robots, electronics, and video. The skills he accumulated across various genres became a great asset to him and he had a lot of influence on his engineering and scientific thinking. He was the first to introduce a touchscreen system in Korea and also to develop multi-media application program using touchscreen system. At that time, almost 80% of the Korean touchscreen information kiosks were developed by him. He was also the first person to design a computer museum relic management system and dedicated network system. As a result, he designed the basic concept of dedicated network system for the National Central Museum of Korea.
New Millennium and the time of hardship
In 2000, launched a mobile phone developer, Cyberdine Telecom Inc., and established subsidiaries in USA, Hong Kong, China, Beijing/ Guangzhou/ Shenzhen/ Shanghai and etc. and exported own branded mobile phone to Swiss, China, Brazil, Indonesia, Philippine, Austria and European, Asian and Latin American countries. In 2006, went to Brazil and initiated mobile phone C.A for LG Electronics Latin American branch. In 2008, worked as an advising commissioner for Peru National Science and Technology Committee, and in 2012, advised on National Renewal Energy Project for Bhutan Kingdom, the hermit kingdom in Hymalaya. Acting as an expert of mobile phone communication as well as superconducting nuclear fusion, wind power generator and solar PV generation system. In addition, established North American mobile marketing corporation, Asmon Quantus Inc. in New York, USA and in Hong Kong, established an International Finance Investment Consulting company, Buena Tron Enterprise Limited.
Overcoming
In 2009, became a visiting professor of USA Loyola University and in 2011, appointed as a professor of Peru’s San Martin University and in 2012, inaugurated as the Korean Chair professor in Latin America. Then, hosted Creativity Competition held in Korea as the head commissioner representing Korea of The World Creativity Olympiad’s World headquarter and authorized to appoint national representing members to compete in the World Creativity Olympiad. For a short period, served as a director of management innovation sector of Agaworld group which is famous for baby Montessori teaching aids and acting as a tech adviser of bio-recognition tech company and CTP equipment development company and recently, performing research on O2O platform beacon infra tech, indoor navigation tech, and machine learning tech.
