스콧 맥나이트

스콧 맥나이트(Scot McKnight, 1953년- )는 미국의 성공회 신학자이자 신약학자이다.

생애와 활동 편집

스콧 맥나이트는 미국 일리노이주에서 태어났다. 코너스톤 대학교에서 공부하고B.A. 트리니티 복음주의 신학교에서 석사 학위M.A.를 노팅엄 대학교에서 제임스 던의 지도 아래 박사 학위Ph.D를 받았다. 1994년부터 2012년까지 노스 파크 대학교 종교학과의 칼 올슨 석좌교수로 있었으며 현재는 노던 신학교 신약학 교수로 재직 중이다.[1] 자신의 전공인 신약학 이외에도 그리스도교 신앙에 관한 다양한 저술과 글을 기고하는 문필가로도 알려져 있으며 그의 블로그는 이른바 복음주의자가 운영하는 블로그 중에서도 가장 많은 조회수를 기록하는 블로그 중 하나로 꼽힌다.[2] 2014년 성공회 신자임을 밝혔으며 같은 해 부제 서품을 받았다.[3]
