싱클레어 퍼거슨

싱클레어 B. 퍼거슨(Sinclair Buchanan Ferguson, 1948년 - )은 스코틀랜드 개혁교회 신학자로서 그의 교육, 저술, 편집활동등으로 잘 알려진 장로교 신학자이다[1];그는 2017년부터 리폼드 신학교에서 조직신학을 가르치고 있으며, 베드로 스코틀랜드 자유교회에서 부교역자로 섬기고 있다. 애버딘 대학교에서 박사학위를 받고 웨스트민스터 신학교와 리딤머 신학교에서도 강의를 했었다. 그는 경건한 목회자이며 성품이 온화하며 제자들에게 항상 친절하여서 존경받는 신학자였다. 그는 현재 출판사 ‘배너 오브 트루스(Banner of Truth Trust)’의 이사이자 ‘고백적 복음주의 연맹(Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals)’ 협의회 의원이다. 그는 많은 책을 저술했다. 대표 저작으로는『성령』,『성도의 삶』,『오직 은혜로』등이 있다. 그와 그의 아내 도로시는 슬하에 네 명의 자녀를 두었다. 한국에서 그의 제자로 김재성 박사, 안명준 박사, 박응규 박사, 박영돈 박사, 그리고 안승준 박사등이 있다.
