윌리엄 개디스

윌리엄 개디스(본명: 윌리엄 토머스 개디스 주니어, William Thomas Gaddis Jr., 1922년 12월 29일 ~ 1998년 12월 16일)는 미국의 소설가이다. 그의 다섯 권의 소설 중 첫 번째이자 가장 긴 소설인 인식(The Recognitions)은 1923년부터 2005년까지 타임 (잡지)지의 100대 소설 중 하나로 선정되었으며, 다른 두 권인 JR과 A Frolic of His Own은 연례 미국 국립 도서상 소설 부문을 수상했다. 그의 에세이 모음집은 사후에 The Rush for Second Place(2002)로 출판되었다. 윌리엄 개디스의 편지(The Letters of William Gaddis)는 2013년 2월 달키 아카이브 프레스(Dalkey Archive Press)에서 출판되었다.
