장용철

장용철(張傛喆)은 대전 출생의 환경생물공학자이다. 대한민국 국적으로 일본국립무로란공대대학원교수로 재직중이다. 디양한 수상 경력과 미국 Times지 (St. Petersburg Cover page)에 연구와 인물이 소개 된바 있다. 서울과학기술대학교 환경공학과 졸업 후, 일본기후국립대대학원 생물자원이용학과에서 박사 취득 후, 미국주립UCF대학교에서 Research Fellow 그리고 한국의 기업부설연구소 소장을 역임했다. 주연구분야는 난분해성오염물질의 미생물에 의한 분해 및 바이오플라스틱 생산이다. 국립무로란공업대학교 공학부장, 환경방재과학연구센터장, 일본환경공학위원회위원, 일본생물공학회대위원의 경력이 있다. 현재 일본북해도소재 학원재단의 이사와 영국왕립화학회가 발간중인 저널지의 심사위원을 겸임하고 있다. 또한 미국Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology지 부편집장(Assistant Editor), Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology(Associate Editor)저널과 Processes지의 편집위원 및 특집호 편집장을 역임하여 해외와의 활발한 연구교류를 추진하고 있다.
