This photo was created in the original size of 3888x2592 pixels and was shot with the Canon EOS 400D (Rebel XTi) using Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Zoom Lens. I could possibly bless the rain which poured for a while to create this extravagent sky, in which I think adds photographic value. Note how the cloud formations "point" to the direction toward the skyline, giving a certain sense of direction, and some emphasis.
This photograph originally had severe perspective distortions caused by the wide angle lens I was using. The perspective adjustment was made and the unnecessary parts of the image were cropped to fit the dimensional standards of a 16:9 Panoramic image.
My original idea was not to include the construction of The sail@Marina Bay condominium located at the extreme left. However I find the edge was a little abrupt, unphotogenic and stale. To improve its photographic language, I decided to include it, also to strongly convey a message as a glitter of hope and a continuity of growth of Singapore's future... So much for my crazy zaney philosophy.
