This aircraft is not equipped with winglets, unlike most p.s. aircraft. And the p.s. decals have not been applied after the repaint into the Continental Disco Ball livery. Nevertheless, this aircraft is part of the dedicated p.s. fleet which links Los Angeles to New York City, with a unique three-class interior. Another giveaway for p.s. aircraft is that as they can carry only 110 passengers (rather than 186 passengers carried by standard United 757s), they are rather lightly loaded, and their takeoff and landing runs are shorter; this is indeed the case for this aircraft. The new United will retain the p.s. services to New York; however, the p.s. fleet will be reconfigured to be more similar to Continental's long-range 757 aircraft, with BusinessFirst, Economy Plus, and standard Economy. United has already equipped the p.s. fleet with inflight Internet, and the reconfiguration will also add AVOD. N560UA, Boeing 757-200 |
