프레드릭 선탁

프레드릭 선탁(Frederick Earl Sontag, 1924년 10월 2일 – 2009년 6월 14일) 은 철학 교수이며 작가였다. 그는 1952년부터 2009년까지 캘리포니아주 클레어몬트에 있는 포모나 칼리지에서 가르쳤다. 죽기 직전까지 그 학교에서 강의하고 은퇴했다.

생애와 프로필

선탁은 2 차 세계 대전 중에 미 육군에서 복무하여 하사관이 되었다. 1949년 스탠포드 대학교를 졸업하고 학사 학위를 취득한 후 예일 대학교에서 1951년에 석사를 1952년 박사 학위를 받았다.

선탁은 포머나 대학교에서 철학 교수로 1952년부터 2009년까지 가르쳤다. 그는 프랑스에 있는 미국교회에서 거주한 신학자였다.
