APA 스타일

APA 스타일(APA style)은 미국심리학회(American Psychological Association: APA)가 정한 영어 작문 및 인용법에 관한 스타일 가이드로 영어권에서 널리 쓰이는 문서 작성 양식 중 하나이다.

주로 사회과학 분야(심리학, 교육학 등)에서 많이 사용하며, 일부 자연과학 분야(생물학, 식물학, 지구과학)에서도 사용한다. 본문에는 저자-연도 형식으로 인용하고, 논문 끝의 참고 문헌 목록을 이름 순으로 정리하는 것이 특징이다. 구글 스콜라를 이용하면 논문 별 인용양식을 쉽게 얻을 수 있다.

기본적으로 APA 스타일 논문 가이드라인에 페이지 레이아웃은 표준 사이즈 레터용지(8.5” x 11”)에 줄 간격 2.0으로 내용을 입력하고, 사방에 1”(2.54cm)의 여백을 둔다. 모든 단락의 첫 줄은 0.5인치 들여쓰기를 해야 한다.[1] 연구 논문 섹션 구성은 총 7 섹션으로 나뉘어 진다. 그중 첫번째는  제목 페이지(Title Page)이다.  APA 연구 논문 양식에 따르면 제목은 10에서 12 단어 사이여야 하며 논문의 요지를 반영해야 한다. 제목을 쓴 다음에는 본인의 이름 뒤에 대학 이름을 적는다. 또한 MS Word의 “머리글 보기” 기능을 사용해 페이지 머리글을 만들고, 제목 페이지에는 난외표제(running head)를 포함한다.[2]

구획 편집

APA 양식 논문은 보통 다음과 같은 구획으로 구성되며, 각각은 새 쪽으로 시작한다.

  • 그림 (그림마다 새 쪽)

제목 편집

수준별 제목 형식은 다음과 같다. (한글에는 대소문자가 없고 기울임체도 잘 쓰이지 않기 때문에 제목 형식을 따르는 경우는 별로 없다.)

  • 0수준: Center Uppercase and Lowcase Heading
  • 1수준: Ideal Institute of Technology
  • 2수준: Engineering college
  • 3수준: Indented, italicized, lowercase paragraph heading ending with a period.
  • 4수준: CENTERED UPPERCASE HEADING

인용 편집

본문 중에 저자명, 간행연도, 페이지 등을 괄호로 묶어 표시하고(예: 홍길동, 2000), 논문 끝의 참고 문헌에서 찾아볼 수 있도록 한다.
