《Overly Dedicated》는 미국의 힙합 가수 켄드릭 라마의 네 번째 믹스테잎이다. 이 앨범은 2010년 9월 14일 Top Dawg Entertainment에서 발매했다. 이 앨범에는 Dash Snow, Jhené Aiko, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Ash Riser, Dom Kennedy, MURS 등이 피처링을 맡았다. 이 앨범의 주요 프로듀서로는 Top Dawg Entertainment 내의 프로듀서진인 King Blue, Sounwave, Tae Beast, Willie B가 있다. 또 다른 프로듀서들로는 Tommy Black, Drop, Jairus "J-Mo" Mozee, Wyldfyer가 있다.[1] 2012년 10월까지 이 믹스테잎은 12,000장의 판매고를 올렸다.[2]

2010년 9월 4일, 켄드릭 라마는 RedefineCreativity가 디자인한 《Overly Dedicated》의 앨범 커버를 공개했다.[3] 2010년 9월 14일에는 《Overly Dedicated》의 수록곡이자 Black Hippy의 멤버인 Ab-Soul이 피처링한 〈P&P 1.5〉의 뮤직 비디오를 발표했다.[4] 2010년 10월 14일, 켄드릭 라마는 16살에 첫 믹스테잎인 Y.H.N.I.C. (Hub City Threat: Minor of the Year)를 발표한 직후에 계약했던 Top Dawg Entertainment 산하에 믹스테잎 《Overly Dedicated》를 디지털 음원 사이트에 넘겼다.[5] 2010년 9월 23일, 이 믹스테잎은 온라인 상에 무료로 발매되었다.[6]

《Overly Dedicated》에는 〈Ignorance is Bliss〉가 수록되어 있다. 켄드릭 라마는 이 곡에서 갱스터 랩과 거리의 범죄를 찬양하며, 각 절이 끝날 때마다 "모르는게 약 (Ignorance is Bliss)"라고 말한다.[7][8] YouTube에서 이 곡의 뮤직 비디오를 보게 된 웨스트코스트 래퍼이자 전설적인 프로듀서인 Dr. Dre는 켄드릭 라마와 같이 작업하길 원했다.[9] 이 사건을 계기로 켄드릭 라마는 Dr. Dre와 Snoop Dogg과 같이 Dr. Dre의 앨범인 Compton을 작업하게 되었고, 그의 레이블인 Aftermath Entertainment와 계약하게 된다.[10][11][12] 이 믹스테잎의 장르에 대해, 켄드릭 라마는 "인간의 음악 (Human Music)"이라고 칭했다.[13][14]
