Global Green Growth Summit 2012:
“Global Governance for Green Growth and the Green Economy”
The Global Green Growth Summit (GGGS) 2012 will convene top economic and environmental policymakers and experts from around the world to discuss the concrete ways in which international cooperation can be strengthened to support countries that pursue green growth and green economy strategies.
Hosted by the Government of Republic of Korea and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in partnership with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), this Summit will take place on 10 – 11 May 2012 at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
The Summit will provide an unprecedented opportunity for leading green economy practitioners and researchers to engage in a global thought process about the cooperative enabling institutions and arrangements that could facilitate the transition to a new, more sustainable paradigm of economic growth and development. With green growth and green economy high on the agenda of the Group of Twenty (G20) and the Rio+20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development this year, the Summit will be of interest to many governments and stakeholders, and its outcomes will provide useful input into both of these important intergovernmental processes.

The Government of Republic of Korea in collaboration with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) held the Global Green Growth Summit 2011, under the theme, "Building Planet-Responsible Civilization," between June 20 and June 21 in Seoul, Korea.
