H.248

H.248 또는 게이트웨이 제어 프로토콜(Gateway Control Protocol), Megaco는 전통적인 공중 교환 전화망(PSTN)과 모뎀 패킷 교환(예: 인터넷)으로 구성되는 집중된 인터네트워크를 경유하는 통신 서비스를 제공하기 위한 미디어 게이트웨이 제어 프로토콜 아키텍처의 구현체이다. H.248은 ITU-T가 개발한 권고이며 Megaco는 국제 인터넷 표준화 기구(IETF)의 최초 사양들에 사용되는 미디어 게이트웨이 제어 프로토콜의 축소판이다. ITU-T에 의해 2013년 3월 출판된 이 표준의 제목은 H.248.1: Gateway control protocol: Version 3이다.
